HKBN offers free smartphones, unlimited mobile data to care home residents

Hong Kong operator HKBN has announced it will provide 5 residential care homes operated by the Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service – Hong Kong (ELCHK) with free unlimited local mobile data and smartphones. The initiative aims to mitigate the effects of the recent coronavirus outbreak. Many Hong Kong residential care homes have suspended in-person visitation as a precaution against possible infection among residents, and this has made it difficult for the elderly and persons with disabilities to see family and friends. HKBN's service is expected to benefit more than 500 seniors and
