Honduras on course for January 2020 analogue switch-off

Honduras telecommunications regulator Conatel has confirmed that the country will finally switch off its analogue signal on 01 January 2020 and will use the Japanese-Brazilian ISDB-T digital TV standard. The watchdog said 223 of the country's 431 broadcasters have completed the migration to DTT, with the remaining 198 urged to accelerate the process for which the government has acquired some 400,000 digital tuners.
