The Dutch consumer organisation Consumentenbond said it is still receiving many complaints about UPC's Horizon settop box. The main problems seem to be the long wait for an UPC mechanic, a bad or broken Horizon set-top box which cannot access UPC customer channels, a green or pink glow on the screen, and a poor customer service. According to the consumer organisation, complaints started to come in from the launch date last September. I have been using this Horizon system through UPC here in Ireland since May 2014...constant problems with Android interface...high power consumption...crashing...box and power supply run very hot.

August no update promised June. Return your box, it's simple with goods whether rented or brought you pay for a functional system . If your Horizon box like mine is Utter Pathetic Crap or UPC. you have the right to end the contract. Even the company has admitted to the consumer investigation, that the box was fitted with out dated computer parts. And told me in their words in faulty and has many problems. I sent mine back ,they told me I could not do this. I have told them to sue if they wish I am more than happy to be a test case for all there ripped off customers

Junk system. I had problems since day one, seven engineer vists each blaming each other, under 20% cable modem connection in six months. Phone drops with internet so the free phone number to the service desk is pointless as you have to use a mobile at cost. My expectation is so low now I don't even get mad with them anymore. Steer well clear of this.
