HP, Google tap Altair Semiconductor for LTE-only Chromebook

Developer of single-mode LTE chipsets, Altair Semiconductor has announced that its FourGee-3100/6202 chipset was selected to connect the new HP Chromebook 11.6-inch LTE to the Verizon Wireless LTE network. The new device is available in Best Buy stores for USD 329 after a USD 50 account activation rebate. The new HP Chromebook LTE was developed by HP in collaboration with Google, and is based on the Wi-Fi only Chromebook 11, launched in October 2013.
