HP to acquire SDN specialist ConteXtream

HP said it signed a definitive agreement to acquire ConteXtream, a provider of OpenDaylight-based, carrier-grade SDN fabric for NFV, and a current HP OpenNFV partner. Headquartered in Mountain View, California, the company provides systems that allow service providers to create a more flexible and programmable network through an SDN/NFV model. HP said ConteXtream's open SDN controller platform complements its own NFV expertise and telecommunications and IT experience. The company's scalable, open and standards-based technology includes capabilities such as advanced service function chaining,
