Hrvatski Telekom expands LTE to rural areas
Hrvatski Telekom announced the roll-out of LTE services in the 800MHz band. The service will target rural and sparsely populated areas. The first locations to receive the service are Ozlja, Koprivnice, Drenovaca, Petrinje, Otocca and Josipdola. Customers can sign up for access at up to 75Mbps using data devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE.

Croatian regulator to auction remaining digital dividend

Croatia's Agency for Post and Electronic Communications (Hakom) announced it will allocate the remaining digital dividend spectrum in a public auction. Hrvatski Telekom expands LTE coverage to new cities

Croatian operator Hrvatski Telekom further expanded the coverage of its LTE network to new cities, namely Pule, Umaga, Sinja, Imotskog, Dubrovnika, Virovitice, Vinkovaca, Bjelovara and Vukovara. Besides the newly added places, LTE is available in Zagreb, Rijeci, Split, Osijeku, Ozlja, Koprivnice, Drenovaca, Siska, Vrbovca, Petrinje, Otocca and Josipdol.

Hrvatski Telekom starts migrating customers from PSTN to IMS

Croatian operator Hrvatski Telekom has started the process of migrating its end-users from its traditional PSTN platform to its IMS platform, which represents the transition to next-generation network architecture, Croatia's telecom regulator Hakom announced. Hrvatski Telekom's plan is to complete the process of migrating all end-users to the IMS platform by 2015 and to shut down all the local exchanges in its network.

Hrvatski Telekom says 4G network ready

Croatian operator Hrvatski Telekom has announced that its 4G mobile broadband network is fully ready for LTE smartphones.
