Hrvatski Telekom, Vipnet bid for 800MHz frequencies
Croatian operators Hrvatski Telekom and Vipnet have applied for the remaining blocks in the 790-862 MHz band. Three 2x10 MHz blocks were offered in September 2012, and only two were assigned. In August 2013, Hakom announced a public auction of the remaining two 2x5MHz blocks in the 801-811/842-852 MHz ranges, with licences valid until 18 October 2024. Hakom said Vipnet offered HRK 110.1 million and HT bid HRK 105.1 million for the first lot, while only HT bid for the second lot, at HRK 105.7 million. The minimum bid was HRK 105 million. Hakom said it will evaluate the technical details of the bids, with the winners to be based on the highest price. A final decision on the spectrum awards is expected by mid-November.
