HTC clears US customs review
HTC announced that US customs officials have completed a review of its phones and the devices have been released for sale in the US. With the Taiwan-based company's products now in compliance with an earlier ITC ruling over patent infringement allegations from Apple, future shipments of HTC phones should go ahead in the US. The company said it was confident it could meet demand for the products.

ITC rejects Apple call for HTC import ban

HTC can continue the launch of its newest smartphones in the US while the ITC investigates whether the phones violate an order that the company stop infringing an Apple patent. The US International Trade Commission on 02 July instituted an investigation into Apple's claim that HTC continues to infringe a patent in violation of an order issued in December, Bloomberg reports. However, the agency denied an emergency request to have the HTC phones, including the One X and EVO 4G LTE, detained at the US border.

US customs review delays sale of new HTC smartphones

Shipments of HTC smartphones to the US are being delayed by a customs review, reports The Financial Times. This comes after HTC lost a lawsuit against Apple in 2011. In a statement, HTC said the review was 'standard' and 'required'. The ITC banned the import of some HTC smartphones in 2011 following claims that they violated Apple patents. The review by US customs authorities will delay sales of the HTC One X and Evo 4G LTE smartphones in the country, its biggest market.
