HTC denies report of spin-off for VR business

HTC has denied a report that the company's chairwoman Cher Wang is planning to spin off HTC's virtual reality operations into a new company owned by Wang and HTC. In a statement, HTC said the report from United Evening News "is incorrect" and it will continue to develop the VR business on its own. HTC has partnered with a number of VR developers in recent months and plans to release its own Vive VR headset in April.
