HTC design chief steps down to focus on special projects

HTC design chief Scott Croyle will step down to focus on special projects and next-generation developments, writes the Wall Street Journal, citing a company statement. HTC CEO Peter Chou, who has a background in engineering, has ceded some managerial duties to chairwoman Cher Wang while he focuses more on product development. HTC also said that Drew Bamford, who is responsible for the company's Sense software, will assume an additional role of leading the software development team. In a related move, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg that HTC has appointed Edward Wang as acting
