HTC has rolled out two new smartphones targeting the mid-range segment, the U19e and Desire 19+, the Digitimes reports. They will launch initially in Taiwan in the coming weeks.

The U19e features a 6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2160x1080 pixels and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a 3,930 mAh battery. The model features a dual rear-camera setup (20-megapixels and 12-megapixels) with 2X telephoto zoom. There is a 24-megapixel and 2-megapixel combo front camera with iris-scanning sensor.

The U19e will be available starting 12 June for TWD 14,900 (USD 474) in the Taiwan market initially.

With the number of active users of the U-series smartphones, including the U10, U11 and U Ultra, around 350,000, HTC expects substantial replacement demand for its new phone, according to HTC Taiwan president Darren Chen.

It features a triple-lens main camera formed by a 13-megapixel primary lens, 8-megapixel ultrawide and 5-megapixel depth sensor. The Desire 19+ will be available in early July with a starting price of TWD 9,900.
