HTC, Qualcomm adapt One after US ITC ruling

HTC is working with Qualcomm to change a component for its One smartphone, in order to bypass a possible US import ban, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter said. The US International Trade Commission issued a preliminary ruling last week, saying that HTC infringed on two Nokia patents that enhance transmission and reception of phone calls. Nokia's filings with the commission said that the chip covered by the patents was made by Qualcomm. Only older HTC phone models were listed in the case.
