HTC will launch its Viveport Infinity unlimited VR subscription service on 2 April to Vive and Oculus Rift owners. It will be available for USD 12.99 a month or USD 99 a year on a pre-paid basis. The subscription will offer over 600 apps and games in addition to exclusive membership benefits such as the revamped Viveport Video application. Customers will also get a 10 percent coupon at the beginning of every month to spend on any Viveport store purchase.
HTC also prepared a discount for developers who bring their apps to the Viveport store. Their share of earned revenue will be increased to 80 percent from the start of April until 31 December.
Existing members, including those with pre-paid subscriptions, and new members who sign up before 2 April, will keep their current price through the end of 2019.
New Viveport customers can sign up anytime for a free 2-week membership to experience unlimited gaming with Viveport Infinity.
