HTHKH's revenue slightly declines in 2019 amid pricing pressure on data tariffs

Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong (HTHKH) saw its service revenue slightly decline by 1 percent to HKD 3.61 billion in 2019. The drop was mainly due to pricing pressure on local data tariffs, partly offset by strong growth in roaming data revenue, as well as higher contribution from corporate services, the company said. HTHKH also reports that the intense competition in the mobile telecommunications market negatively impacted the Group's service margin and profitability.
