Huawei aims to ship 80 mln smartphones globally in 2014

Chinese vendor Huawei Device aims to ship 80 million smartphones globally this year, which will represent an increase of 53.8 percent compared with the previous year, Digitimes reports. The firm said that it had already sold 8 million units of its Honor 3C smartphone at the end of last year and that it expects to sell 20 million units of this smartphone during 2014, according to the report. Last year, Huawei Device shipped 52 million smartphones, up 62.5 percent versus the previous year, 24.4 million fixed-line internet-access terminal devices, down 2.4 percent year-on-year, and 44.5 million
