Huawei, Altibox demonstrate 200Gbps network

Huawei demonstrated its 200Gbps line card for routers at The Gathering in Hamar, Norway. Billed as the second largest computer party in the world, the event saw Huawei and local operator Altibox demonstrate access at 200Gbps to over 6,000 computer enthusiasts. Huawei provides its "star products" for this event, including 200 Gbps line cards, NE5000E high-end routers, and OptiX OSN 8800 dense wavelength division equipment. The demonstration includes NE5000Es in Oslo and Hamar and uses the OptiX OSN 8800 to accomplish the transmission distance of 180km.
