Huawei, DLR test 5G cooperative automated driving

Huawei and the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) have completed a 5G automated driving test in Munich. The results show 5G V2X can be successfully used for a reliable and low-latency connection for vehicle collision avoidance, according to a statement from Huawei. The companies are also investigating the application of the technology for more complex cooperative manoeuvres, including 5G-enhanced platooning.
