Huawei, Ericsson dominate LTE contracts - study

Huawei and Ericsson obtained the highest number of LTE contracts as deployments of 4G networks accelerate, according to an analysis of vendor positioning by Informa Telecoms & Media. The research concluded that there is a major disparity in the allocation of infrastructure contracts, with Huawei and Ericsson dominating the market. According to Informa's calculations and data provided and validated by vendors, Huawei accounts for 40 percent of network contract awards and Ericsson has 34 percent. NSN follows with 17 percent, and Alcatel-Lucent, ZTE, Samsung and NEC have attracted a total of 9
