Huawei Technologies reported first-half revenues of CNY 102.7 billion, an increase of 5.1 percent over the first half of 2011. Operating profit was CNY 8.79 billion, giving a margin of 8.6 percent. Huawei said the operating result was up 20.3 percent from the second half of 2011, but down 22.0 percent year-on-year due to the weaker global economy and "challenging" telecom market. However, it said it remains "relatively optimistic" about its operating performance and profitability for the remainder of 2012.
