Huawei returns to profit growth in 2012

Huawei announced a return to growth in profits for 2012, after a sharp fall in 2011. The Chinese equipment maker recorded over 10 percent growth in revenues and profits in 2012, according to a New year's message from acting CEO Guo Ping. Revenues are expected to exceed USD 35 billion, and net profit will be about USD 2.4 billion. The CEO said the company further consolidated its share of the carrier network equipment market, with over 130 LTE and more than 70 EPC networks deployed worldwide.
