Huawei loses in 2Wire bid amid security concerns - report

Huawei narrowly lost the bidding to take over 2Wire, the US-based maker of broadband internet software that was ultimately acquired by Pace, even though Huawei offered more than its rival, people familiar with the matter told the Financial Times. The Chinese company was also on the losing end of a bid for Motorola's mobile network infrastructure unit, which was bought by Nokia Siemens Networks.
