Huawei Marine, Megacable kick off Baja California Sur cable project

Huawei Marine and Mexican cable operator Megacable have confirmed that work is underway on the project to roll out a 250-kilometre undersea fibre-optic cable connecting Topolobampo on the coast of Sinaloa state to La Paz in the Baja California Sur state. The companies said a marine survey is currently being conducted before the cable is rolled out with a view to providing more stable and low-latency communication for La Paz, Mexico's second largest tourist destination.
