Huawei opens regional office in Argentina

Huawei has opened its new regional office in Buenos Aires, which will be responsible for operations in Argentina and six other countries in the region, including Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia. The new offices, in addition to two other Huawei already has in the country, will require an annual investment of more than USD 30 million and will generate 300 new jobs. Last year, Huawei started producing smartphones in Tierra del Fuego and for this year it plans to produce 320,000 units, according to Lu Qiang, CEO of Huawei Argentina.
