Huawei says no plans for handset acquisition

Huawei is not interested in buying one of its troubled rivals, such as HTC or BlackBerry. The head of Huawei's consumer business, Richard Yu, said in June that the company was considering possible acquisitions. However, Chen Li Fang, a member of Huawei's board, has now denied those suggestions. "No, we haven't considered [acquisitions]," she told the Financial Times, adding jokingly: "I think Richard Yu should take more rounds of media training."
