Huawei starts project to protect biodiversity at Lake Neusiedl in Austria

Huawei said it has started a research project to promote knowledge on environmental protection and species conservation in in the reed belt of Lake Neusiedl in Austria. The company launched the project together with the University of Vienna, the Neusiedler See - Seewinkel National Park, and NGO Rainforest Connection (RFCx). It will use smart technologies and artificial intelligence to research biodiversity in the reed belt of Lake Neusiedl. Over 70 devices are placed in the reed belt to record the soundscape.
