Huawei sues US Commerce Dept over seized equipment

Monday 24 June 2019 | 16:12 CET | News
Huawei has filed a lawsuit against the US Commerce Department demanding the release of telecommunications equipment seized by officials in Alaska, according to a court filing seen by Reuters. The complaint states that equipment including an ethernet switch and computer server was seized by the US government, and that no decision has been made about whether a licence is required to ship it. "The equipment, to the best of HT USA's knowledge, remains in a bureaucratic limbo in an Alaskan warehouse," said Huawei in its lawsuit.
