Huawei suspended from international security forum following US trade rules

Thursday 19 September 2019 | 09:03 CET | News
The Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams, or First, has, in the wake of the US restricting technology exports to Huawei, suspended membership of the Chinese company, the Wall Street Journal reported. The group said some information shared on its mailing lists, in its working groups and between members could come under the new US rules and that lawyers had recommended the suspension of Huawei as a consequence. In an email to members, First noted however that the suspension was temporary and that it was working with US officials to reinstate the tech company.
