Huawei to build on China smartphone lead to grow 5G market - study

The launch of 5G in China will be key to the 5G smartphone market taking off in the coming year, according to Strategy Analytics. The market researcher expects global sales of 5G smartphones will reach 160 million in 2020, if 5G takes off as expected in China. Huawei is best positioned to capture the majority of China's 5G smartphone sales and could leverage that success to regain its global smartphone standing, the company said.
