Huawei to buy more local products, increase investments in South Korea following US ban

China's Huawei plans to expand its operations in South Korea by purchasing more parts for its network equipment and smartphones amid continued US sanctions, Yonhap news agency reports, citing Karl Song Kai, head of Huawei's global media and communications. According to Song, Huawei also plans to increase its investments in South Korea. The Huawei executive did not provide additional details related to the amount of these planned investments.
