Huawei to lead 5G global RAN market in 2023 - study

Wednesday 17 April 2019 | 15:27 CET | News
When the 5G market takes off in 2023, Huawei will have a 2 point lead among 5G RAN vendors when it comes to its share of 5G subscribers, according to the latest report from Strategy Analytics. The study expects Huawei, Ericsson and Nokia to each service 24.8 percent, 22.9 percent and 22.7 percent of global 5G subscribers on their RAN equipment by 2023. Others, including Samsung and ZTE, will share the remaining 29.6 30 percent. China will be an early adopter of 5G and its sheer scale should help push down 5G costs even more rapidly than in previous generations.
