Huawei to present Mate 30 series phones on 19 September

Huawei has confirmed on Twitter that its next flagship smartphone, the Mate 30 series, will be presented on 19 September. An event is planned in Munich, where Huawei has previously presented its Mate phones. 

These may be the company's first phones without full support from Google for its apps and Android software. The US ban against sales to Huawei means Google is unable to provide its full range of products to Huawei. Huawei earlier said it plans an update to its user interface, EMUI 10, on the new phone, but has not announced any plans to use a new operating system. 

The previous Mate 20 series was launched in November 2018 and sold over 10 million units.

Huawei has unveiled a redesigned version of its existing P30 Pro flagship smartphone at IFA 2019 in Berlin ahead of the launch of its Mate 30 handset later this month. The new model comes in two new colours – called Mystic Blue and Misty Lavender – plus the EMUI 10 OS (based on Android 10) straight out of the box, with hardware specs identical to the existing P30 Pro. No exact pricing or availability details have been revealed for the updated P30 Pro.

De Chinese fabrikant organiseert daarvoor een evenement in de Zuid-Duitse stad München. Hier werd tot twee jaar geleden ook al enkele keren de lancering van de nieuwe Mate-reeks smartphones gehouden.

Huawei may launch its next flagship smartphone next month without being able to offer Google's official Android operating system and apps, company executives told Reuters. The company is set to unveil its new Mate 30 line of phones on 18 September in Munich, a source familiar with the matter said.

Owners of the current P30 flagship series will be the first to try EMUI10, available in beta from 08 September. Huawei has unveiled in Paris its latest flagship smartphones, the P30 series. The top model, the P30 Pro comes with an entirely new quad back camera, designed again with Leica, while the standard P30 has a triple camera. The phones are available to pre-order and will be in shops from 05 April, starting at EUR 749 and going up to EUR 1,099.
