Huawei announced at Mobile World Congress an update of 5G core solution ready for commercial use cases. Known as Service-Oriented Core 2.0 (SOC 2.0), this is an update of its 5G prototype, SOC 1.0, introduced at MWC last year. SOC 2.0 will show the commercial capabilities of 5G networks, providing connectivity for a multitude of terminals from various industries, as well as on-demand services for vertical industries, Huawei said. At MWC, Huawei, Deutsche Telekom and Vodafone will jointly demonstrate 5G business scenarios based on SOC 2.0.
