Huawei unveils noise-cancelling FreeBuds 3 with new Kirin A1 chip

Tuesday 5 November 2019 | 14:05 CET | News
Huawei has launched the FreeBuds 3 wireless headset, the first to house its new Kirin A1 wearable chip. The company said the chip uses both Bluetooth 5.1 and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.1 protocols for solid connections while reducing power consumption by up to 50 percent for longer battery life. The AirPods Pro competitor also offers intelligent noise cancellation, with Huawei claiming a 15-decibel reduction in ambient noise, as well as an aerodynamically designed wind cancellation microphone duct that reduces wind noise and improves call quality.
