Huawei, Vodafone demonstrate Cellular V2X with Audi

Wednesday 1 March 2017 | 09:47 CET | News
Huawei and Vodafone have shown a live demonstration of cellular V2X technology in a specially fitted Audi car at the Mobile World Congress 2017. The C-V2X system enables vehicles, road users and infrastructure to exchange information over mobile networks. At the showcase, the driver demonstrated four scenarios. The car used a video feed from a car in front to navigate traffic, received a warning from a connected traffic light, detected a future pedestrian via their mobile device and activated the emergency brake.
