Huawei's smartphone market share jumps to over 42% in China in Q3

The Chinese (mainland) smartphone market increased sequentially in Q3 2019 as shipments reached 97.8 million, from 97.6 million units in the second quarter of 2019. The Chinese smartphone market is still decreasing compared to the previous year, though the decline has narrowed to 3 percent, according to a report from Canalys. The report further indicates that Huawei led the market, by shipping 41.5 million smartphones, to reach a record market share of 42 percent, which represents an annual growth of 66 percent.
