Hulu launches GatewayGo, marrying ads with buying action prompts

The company unveiled its new viewer-first advertising format GatewayGo. The gateway joins Disney's suite of advertising offering and combines traditional TV ads with new action-oriented prompts, with the aim of better connecting viewers and advertisers. The system uses second screen technologies such as QR codes and push notifications, so that viewers can take immediate action on a brand's offer, from their mobile device. SmileDirectClub, The RealReal and Sweetgreen will be among Hulu's exclusive launch partners for GatewaGo.
