Hulu signs up NBCUniversal for live TV service
Hulu announced an agreement with NBCUniversal to carry the broadcaster's channels on its upcoming live TV service. The deal gives Hulu's OTT service access to the channels NBC, Telemundo, USA, Syfy,  Bravo, E!, MSNBC, CNBC, NBCSN and others, meaning the service can start with over 50 live channels. The agreement also includes a framework for licensing the NBC and Telemundo broadcast affiliates for carriage on Hulu’s new service.

As a result of the deal, Hulu now has access to all four national networks in the US for the live TV service, plus a range of cable channels and local affiliates for news and sports coverage. Hulu is expected to launch the new service in the first half of this year, for a basic subscription starting at less than USD 40 per month.
