I Squared Capital acquires Mexico's KIO Networks

Infrastructure investment manager I Squared Capital said it has completed the acquisition of KIO Networks, Mexico’s largest data centre operator and a leading digital infrastructure service provider, for an undisclosed amount. KIO has a strong regional presence with assets not only in Mexico, but throughout Central America and the Caribbean via an extensive network of data centres with over 20 megawatts of installed operational capacity.

KIO Networks currently provides infrastructure-related services through its operations in Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic and Spain. It also offers managed services for cloud, cybersecurity, and business applications. Customers include hyperscalers, telecommunication companies, technology providers, financial institutions, corporates and governments.

I Squared Capital added that KIO’s assets, customer depth and diversification will serve to position the company to capture the rapid growth in demand for data storage and anchor the development of the investment fund’s digital infrastructure strategy in Mexico and the rest of Latin America.
