IBM claims world first with 2nm chip

IBM has claimed a new breakthrough in semiconductor design with the development of the world's first chip built on 2 nanometer (nm) technology. The company expects the new technology could deliver as  much as 45 percent higher performance or 75 percent lower energy use than today's most advanced 7 nm node.
