IBM has launched the Turboways 100 ATM Adaptor for RS/600 servers, or clients running AIX/6000 V3.25, to offer 100-Mbps full duplex access to ATM local networks. The product is the first of IBM's awaited ATM products. The adaptor is expected to find uses in applications such as voice mail, remote scientific visualisation, teleconferencing, medical imaging and full motion video.
