IBM plans to open data centre in Paris this year

IBM has announced that it would open a Cloud IBM SoftLayer data centre in Paris, France, in the second half of the year, as part of the USD 1.2 billion global investment in cloud infrastructure it unveiled on 17 January. IBM France, which celebrates its 100th year in 2014, started investing in the Cloud in France in 2009. The group's global investment plan will involve the building of an extensive network of local data centres.
