Icasa starts review of new transparency, data rollover regulations

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa is seeking public comments on its plans to conduct a Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) on the End-User and Subscriber Service Charter Regulations which came into force in February. These measures were designed to improve transparency and lower the cost of internet services, but Icasa said there is growing concern the measures have not been fully implemented and there is little change in the market.
