Ice Group said that it has appointed Henning Karlsrud as its new chief financial officer (CFO). Karlsrud joins Ice Group from a role as senior vice president and head of group strategy at Telenor Group. He succeeds Murat Erden, who will continue to support the executive management team at Ice until March 2018.

Ice CEO JD Fouchard said Karlsrud has a deep understanding of the Norwegian market and the international telecoms landscape, which will make him a highly valuable asset to Ice Group.

Before joining Telenor in 2012, Karlsrud spent four years in Handelsbanken Capital Markets' corporate finance team. He also spent three years with A.T. Kearney as well as four years with the Boston Consulting Group in Norway.

Karlsrud says he has been very impressed with Ice's customer and data-centric business model, which has made it a "genuine challenger" in the Norwegian market "in record time".
