Ice Norway cagey on 900 MHz auction participation

Monday 26 January 2015 | 12:42 CET | News
Ice Norway, which belongs to AINMT Scandinavia Holding, part of Ukrainian-American billionaire Len Blavatnik's Access Industries, is remaining tight-lipped about whether it will take part in the 900 MHz frequency auction, said Digi.no. Telenor Norway and TeliaSonera's Netcom have licences for the lion's share of the band, but these run out in 2017, and regulator NKOM is preparing an auction for two blocks of 20 MHz, said Digi.no. Ice could use this spectrum to provid VoLTE services, according to the portal.
