Ice Norway undertakes coverage obligations to receive 5G auction discount after rules change

Friday 26 November 2021 | 12:25 CET | News
Norwegian communications regulator Nkom said that Ice Group has opted to undertake regional coverage obligations following the 5G auction that ended on 30 September, in order to receive a spectrum licence discount. The watchdog changed one funding criterion to assume broadband access at 3 km or less instead of 4 km, reducing eligible premises to around 48,000.
