iDeal adds support for P2P payments

The Dutch online payments systems iDeal will soon support person-to-person payments. Currence, the manager of the platform, has changed the statues and now allows 'consumer-to-consumer' providers. iDeal was first set up for commercial payments but the Dutch Payments Association said it sees growing demand in the market for consumer services. Currence has accredited the first consumer provider, and products from ABN Amro, Bunq, Florin and ING are also going through the process, the association said.
