iDeal launches app with QR code payments

Friday 8 April 2016 | 11:55 CET | News
Dutch online payments system iDeal has launched a mobile app for users to pay by QR code. Users can scan a QR code with their smartphone and pay for transactions over iDeal with their associated mobile banking account. The app is available for Android and Apple devices. The Dutch payments association Betaalvereniging Nederland, one of the backers of iDeal, also offers businesses an online QR code generator to facilitate the mobile payments. This allows them to generate a unique code for each transaction, to appear at the POS or on a bill.
