Idemia secures contract extension with Australian border agency

Augmented identity specialist Idemia has agreed a five-year contract extension to supply its SmartGate services to the Australian Border agency. Under this renewed partnership, which started in 2004, Idemia will upgrade some of the equipment providing automated border control in Arrivals areas. This will include the replacement of existing Kiosks, refurbishment of eGates, and technology trials for new products.
