IFT allows Televisa to switch DTT frequencies

Friday 23 December 2016 | 15:11 CET | News
Mexico's communications regulator IFT has authorised Grupo Televisa subsidiary Televimex to switch six of the frequencies it was temporarily awarded during the recent DTT switchover to lower bands. The change affects channels located in Ciudad Camargo and Delicias in Chihuahua, Cananea and Nogales in Sonora and Piedras Negras in Coahuila, with the IFT adding that the redistribution opens the way to the gradual release of spectrum in the 600MHz band to be used by mobile services.
