IFT approves Televisa's infrastructure sharing plan

Mexico's telecommunications services regulator IFT has approved a plan submitted by dominant broadcaster Televisa that stipulates how the company will share infrastructure with its competitors in order to avoid regulatory penalties. The government ordered Televisa to submit the infrastructure sharing plan as the company controls over 50 percent of the Mexican broadcasting market. The plan is part of a process that Televisa must complete in order to reduce its market share.
